Establish an SGM Chapter

Bring the mission of SGM to your region and lead the way in advancing green microbiology locally. SGM Chapters are the backbone of our global community, fostering collaboration, innovation, and outreach on a local scale.

Steps to Establish an SGM Chapter:

  1. Prepare a Proposal:
    • State the purpose of your chapter, proposed activities, and leadership structure.
    • List a minimum of 10 founding members who are SGM members or willing to join.
  2. Submit Your Application:
    • Send your proposal and member list to hello@greenmicrobiology.org for review.
  3. Get Approved:
    • Once your application is approved, receive official chapter status and support from SGM.
  4. Host Your First Meeting:
    • Launch your chapter with an inaugural meeting to set goals and engage with your community.
  5. Plan Your Activities:
    • Organize events like workshops, conferences, and outreach programs aligned with SGM’s mission.
