The 2026 Green Microbiology Summit will also celebrate the global launch of the landmark edited book Green Microbiology: Sustainability, Climate Change, Food, and Water published by Academic Press by Elsevier.
Edited by Adenike A. Akinsemolu and Helen N. Onyeaka, the book explores how microbes can drive sustainable solutions across food systems, climate resilience, renewable energy, water treatment, environmental restoration, public health, and biotechnology.
Positioning Green Microbiology as an emerging sustainability-oriented scientific field, the book brings together interdisciplinary perspectives on the role of microbial science in addressing global challenges.
